Going Green Tag!

I was recently tagged by the lovely Ana from Ana Goes Green to do the "Going Green" tag, and of course I was happy to join in! This fun tag was started by one of my new favorite natural bloggers, Rachel from All Natural Inspirations. If you haven't checked out either of these amazing blogs, I highly encourage you to do so!

On to the tag!

1) What started it all off for you? I have dealt with acne all of my life and once I learned that the very products I had been using to "treat" my acne was only making it worse, I decided to look to more natural means. From there, I started researching to learn more about what I was putting on as well as in my body and the effects it had on my overall health. It didn't take me long to know the direction I wanted to go!

2) What was the first thing to go, ingredient or product? I pretty much tossed anything that contained parabens, SLS, bismuth oxychloride and benzoyl peroxide first.

3) What did you struggle to let go of? Some of my hair care products, and perfumes. I have had a tough time finding natural products that I like as much or that work as well. I'm still looking though, so I am hopeful.

4) What has been your best find or change? Dr. Bronner's for sure! I use it as a face wash, body wash, brush cleaner, animal shampoo, and basic cleaning product. It's a very versatile product for not a lot of money.

5) What was the worst thing about going green? Honestly, I can't really find a downside!

6) Anything else to add? Tips or tricks? I know that other green bloggers have said this same thing, but it's worth repeating -  start out slow and make small changes. It's about progress, not perfection. Do your research, learn about the ingredients and make decisions that would be best for you. Listen to your body, if you are struggling with any kind of allergy, skin disorder, inflammation or other health issue, take a good look at everything you are putting in and on your body, and what you use to clean with too. It all adds up. I can't even express how much better I feel since I stopped bombarding myself with toxins. Ingredients really do matter.

Thank you so much Ana, for tagging me. And I tag anyone who wishes to do this!

Peace & Love,
~Sabrina
