Steamcream - An Introduction and Review

This year has been such a busy one so far. I've been incredibly fortunate to test so many wonderful brands, but because it does take some time to really "get to know" these products, I've fallen a bit behind on my reviews. I am trying to get to them as quickly as possible, but I also want to give myself time to determine how I feel about them so that I can give the best, most honest review that I can.

With that out of the way, let me introduce you to a new product I have had the privilege of trying out.

Steamcream is a revolutionary concept in skincare in which high quality, natural ingredients are fused together by a shot of steam. This very unique method makes for a light weight, ultra nourishing product that is instantly absorbed into the skin.

While many moisturizers are bound together by emulsifers which don't allow the product to absorb completely into the skin, Steamcream's use of steam creates a very gentle and loose emulsion, which allows it penetrate more deeply.

By utilizing such a simple method, it enables them to invest in effective and healing natural ingredients such as orange flower water, lavender, oatmeal, jojoba and almond oils and cocoa butter.

The cream comes in a wide array of lovely tins in which you can choose from. I was given the "Ume Ni Uguisu", which is a Japanese idiom meaning "great match" and traditionally symbolizes the beginning of Spring.

The cream itself is light and airy and really does absorb quickly. It has a pleasant scent that is not overpowering.

Steamcream is handmade in the UK and Japan, and has won the CEW (UK) Award for Best Everyday New Skincare and the Pure Beauty Award for Best Design and Packaging.

Price - $20.00
Ingredients - You can check their website for the full list of ingredients they use in each cream.

My overall thoughts - I love the design of the tin, and the many other gorgeous designs found on their website. I also love that they are a highly ethical company that does not test on animals, nor do they buy from companies that test on or fund the testing on animals. The texture and scent are also appealing to me. My one complaint, is that parabens are used as the preservatives. I understand their logic of using them, and they explain and fully stand behind their decision, which I respect. I personally do not use any products with parabens, but for those that don't have an issue with it, this is a lovely product that I would highly recommend.

Have you ever tried Steamcream? What are your thoughts?

Peace & Love,
~Sabrina
