Shea Terra Organics was founded by Tammie Umbel, whose vision was to create markets for natural products from third world countries, which would help to reduce poverty and preserve diminishing habitats.
The main ingredient behind most of Shea Terra products is West African shea butter, which is amazingly healing and nutritive to most every skin ailment. It's also remarkably high in vitamin A, making it an effective anti-aging tool. When founder Tammie realized the impact a single ingredient like shea butter could have on the world, she set out to find and utilize more rare and indigenous ingredients that could both enhance and compliment the many benefits of shea butter.
"Shea Terra Organics sources the most potent, organic and wild harvested ingredients from across Africa. This pristine environment, little tainted by modern pollution, grows some of the safest, unchanged botanical ingredients on earth. Unwilling to compromise, Shea Terra Organics uses whole herbs for its potent, synergistic benefits." - Sheaterraorganics.com

| Lovely products generously sent for me to review! |
I was recently sent a few products to review and here are my thoughts on each.
1) Moroccan Lava & Camel's Milk Softening Nomad's Secret Mask - I've never used a product that contained camel's milk in it before, so I was kind of intrigued by this. Apparently, using lava clay and camel's milk as a facial treatment is an age old nomadic secret to super soft skin, and I have to say, it really does get the job done! Moroccan lava clay contains high levels of natural silica, which is helpful in healing blemishes, while camel's milk is rich in vitamins B & C and moisturizing fatty acids. So it's no wonder my skin looked so much better after using this! I've honestly been using this more than just 1-3 times a week..I love it that much!
Price - $28 for 3.4oz
Ingredients - Moroccan lava clay (ghassool) and camel's milk powder
2) Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Wash - There are so many things I could say about this product that it's almost hard to know where to begin! This product is creator Tammie Umbel's favorite, and I can understand why. It's simply amazing. African Black Soap is made from the ashes of plantain skin, which are high in vitamins A & E as well as allantoin, which soothes irritated skin, cocoa pods, which are loaded with anti-oxidants, and palm leaves, also high in anti-oxidants. Combined with the cell regenerative benefits of Rosehip oil, this face wash gently cleanses, exfoliates, firms skin and fights acne. This has become a new holy grail cleanser/mask for me. It has a very thick, jelly like consistency - very much like molasses. It doesn't seem to lather much at first, but add enough water and it will do that just fine. I actually like to mix it with the Moroccan Lava Clay & Camel's Milk mask for extra detoxification and exfoliation. My skin has recently been acting up due to hormones, but this product (and combined with the mask) is clearing it up fast!

My overall thoughts: I've had Shea Terra on my radar for a while, but had never gotten around to trying them out. Now that I have, I can honestly say that I will be purchasing some of their other products very, very soon!
