My Top 12 Favorite Make Up Products of 2013

As 2013 draws to a close, I thought I'd share another list of favorites I've discovered, this time being my favorite make up products. Most of these lovely items I've had for a bit, but really started using them faithfully in the past year, and a few are new discoveries (which I'll review a little later on). It wasn't easy to choose just 12, as I have enough make up products to open my own shop, but I selected the ones that worked the best with my skin type and color.

My Top 12 Favorite Make Up Products of 2013

1) Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Creme Foundation in Warm No. 2 (now Neutral No. 10). See review here. This is the foundation I reach for when my skin is feeling a bit on the dry side. It covers beautifully, yet feels light on your skin and doesn't cause my face to become a greasy mess after a fews hours, which is a huge plus for me!

2) Kjaer Weiss Eyeshadow in Magnetic - no review yet - I was so fortunate to have won this little beauty in a giveaway (it came as part of the Trio gift set..score!) and it has quickly become my favorite eyeshadow! It's a gorgeous golden brown that really flatters any eye color. I love to wear this in my crease and as a liner under my eyes.

3) The All Natural Face Vegan Oily Lid Primer in Buff - no review - I know this product hasn't received many favorable reviews, and I'll admit, at first I wasn't a fan either as it does nothing to help keep my eyeshadow from creasing, but I started using it as a concealer and I actually really like it. It has enough yellow in it to cover any redness, it doesn't cake on my face and it doesn't break me out. I also found that if I mix it with a bit of eyecream, it works great as an undereye concealer.

4) Madison Street Beauty Aloe Airbrush Setting Powder - see review here. This is my absolute favorite setting powder. It's light, has no color so won't turn your foundation a different shade and has Aloe in it.

5) Zuzu Luxe Liquid Liner in Raven - no review - Once upon a time, before I knew any better, I used a liquid liner that was full of toxic ingredients. I really loved this liner and was sad to give it up, as I never thought I'd find it's equal. One day, I discovered this gorgeous product that was not only full of healthy ingredients, but it worked exactly the same as the "bad" one! And I lived happily ever after! :-P

6) Vapour Organic Beauty Soft Focus Foundation in S100 - no review - I only have this in a sample, but I am so in love with this product that I may need to break down and get the full sized version! It's so light, yet offers full coverage and looks so completely natural I almost forget I have make up on!

7) Everyday Minerals Skin Tints in Calm & Collected - review to come - This lovely product gives your skin a subtle kiss of bronze color - just enough to wake up your complexion and add a healthy glow. Love!

8) Lucy Minerals Lucy Light Formula in Light - see brief review here - This is one of my favorite powder foundations of all time! It's slightly creamy, covers everything I need it to - so well that I don't need to use a concealer when I wear this. The color also matches my skin almost exactly, something that has proven to be quite a challenge for me!

9) Vapour Organic Beauty Aura Multi Use Blush - Radiant in Heavenly - no review - When they say that this is a "multi use" product, they are not joking! This lovely shimmery champagne color works great as a highlighter, shadow or lipstick. I'm a huge fan of everything I've tried by Vapour as well as multi-tasking products so this is the best of two worlds for me!

10) Organic Wear Fake Out Mascara in Black - no review - I've tried a few of the Organic Wear mascaras and though I've loved them all, this one is a particular stand out product for me. I do have naturally long (at one time freakishly long so I cut them..'winces') lashes, and this really did extend them out a bit as well as thicken them, but I don't think I looked like I was wearing false lashes..:-/ Maybe I need to apply a few more coats! Still, one of the best natural mascaras that can be found at your drugstore and costs about the same as the non-natural ones!

11) Everyday Minerals Tinted Lip Butter in Honey Rose Elixir - review to come - I actually was sent four of these lip butters in various shades, but this is the one I keep reaching for! It's a beautiful cool rose shade with a hint of plum. I like this color because it's close to my natural lip tone and enhances it as well as adding a glossy sheen. I'm so loving these lip butters!

12) Devita Absolute Minerals Absolute Lips in Sanguine Angel - review to come - I received this lovely lipstick along with two other products from the Absolute line, but this is the only one I've tried out so far. Finding a red lipstick that goes with my complexion has been tricky to say the least, but this one is a cool shade of red with blue undertones so it works for me. :-)

What are your favorite make-up products from 2013? What brands/products are you looking forward to trying in 2014?

Peace, Love & Happy New Year!
