I actually had to spend a little longer testing the products just to make sure I wasn't imagining things.
Before I delve into how incredible these products are, let me share a bit about this amazing company.
"Kamama Skin Care was founded in 2010 by Holly Kirk as part of a vision to provide a natural and organic based line of skin care products to Oklahoma. Utilizing a holistic approach to skin management, Kamama directly draws upon the principles and practices of Ayurveda in developing and making all of its products."
In Ayurveda, it is very important to only use the most natural and organic substances on the skin, as whatever we put on it, the skin essentially digests. Kamama has taken this philosophy to heart and only uses pure, natural ingredients in all of their products.
I absolutely love this approach to skincare, and I could not wait to try out the products that were kindly sent to me.
First up..
1) Orange Coconut Cleanser - Made from anti-acne ingredients such as coconut milk and flour, neem powder and bergamot essential oil, this powder cleanser gently and effectively cleanses and exfoliates skin. I love to use this as a cleanser/mask combo in the morning and my skin is much softer and hydrated and any redness or dry patches just disappear afterwards. Because there are no grains in this, the texture is very soft, so even the most sensitive skin can use this without worry.
Price - $15 for 4oz
Ingredients - Coconut Milk, Coconut Flour, Chickpea Flour, Orange Peel Powder, Rose Petal Powder, Neem Powder, Brahimi Powder, Adzuki Bean Powder, Bergamont Essential Oil
Pair with for best results...
2) Soothing Serum - This serum is simply miraculous. No other word can describe it. Since I started using it, I have noticed a significant difference in the depth and size of my indented acne scars. The texture of my skin has literally undergone a noticeable transformation. It's smoother, clearer and less red. I wish I had thought to take a before picture! I still have not quite pinpointed what it is in this product that is accounting for the difference, if it is one ingredient, such as patchouli oil (a potent scar healer and skin regenerator), the watermelon seed or apricot seed oils or a combination of all of the ingredients. Whatever it is, it is working. Big time. I'm honestly afraid to stop using it! You only need a few drops mixed with a bit of water for it to be effective and it absorbs nicely, leaving your skin nourished and moisturized, but not greasy.
Price - $42 for 1 oz
Ingredients - Watermelon Seed Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Apricot Seed Oil, Bergamot Essential Oil, Chamomile Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Patchouli Essential Oil
My overall thoughts - I love Kamama's Ayurvedic philosophy towards skincare and I love that they use ingredients that work harmoniously together to get the best results possible. I am definitely a fan for life of this brand and I already have their Rejuvenating Serum, Cleansing Oil and Botanical Omega Lipids on my wishlist! :-)
Have you ever tried Kamama Skincare? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Peace & Love,
~Sabrina
