Product Obsession: Annmarie Gianni Skincare Part One - Oily Skin Sample Set

I've been a fan of Annmarie Gianni Skincare for quite some time, but I haven't ever gotten around to writing a review until now! I guess better late than never, right?

Awhile ago, I was sent two beautiful sample kits to try out and in order to give each a proper review, I am going to write two separate posts. This first one will focus on the Oily/Acne Prone Sample Kit.

This kit is perfect for those people that have oily/combination and acne prone skin. And as with all of Annmarie Gianni's products, these are made with pure, healing and non-toxic ingredients that your skin will love!

There are three products that make up this kit - the Citrus Mint Facial Cleanser, the Herbal Facial Oil and the Purifying Mud Mask.

Let's take a look at each individually:

1) Citrus Mint Facial Cleanser - This is a light gel cleanser that deeply cleans without stripping your skin like sulfate cleansers do. The ingredients in this lovely product help to maintain the delicate ph of the skin while working to heal blemishes. The key ingredient is lemon balm, which is a Mediterranean plant belonging to the mint family. Lemon balm also has anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-oxidant properties, making it perfect for oily, acneic skin. I loved the mood boosting citrus scent to this product and also that it didn't dry out my skin.

Price - $24.95 for 50ml
Ingredients: Love, Herb-Infused Organic Aloe Vera Gel (Organic Aloe vera, Organic Lavender flowers, Organic Lemon balm leaves, Organic Neem leaves, Organic Rosemary leaves, Organic Echinacea flowers, Organic Life Everlasting flowers, Organic Calendula flowers, Organic Comfrey leaves, Organic Plantain leaves, Organic Malva flowers); Saponified olive oil; Witch Hazel Distillate; Vegetable glycerin; Aspen bark extract; Xanthan gum; Organic Lemon oil; Organic Rosemary oil; Organic Lemon myrtle oil; Organic Peppermint oil. pH 5.5

2) Herbal Facial Oil - As with all of the face oils in this brand, you only need the tiniest amount and you honestly don't need a moisturizer on top (unless of course your skin is very dry). This oil contains acne healing ingredients such as hazel nut oil, neem, rosemary, and white willow bark. It also contains some potent anti-aging ingredients such as hibiscus, goji berry, ehcinacea, carrot seed and rice bran oil to name a few. My only complaint is that I am not crazy about the smell of this product. Other than that I absolutely adore it and so does my skin!

Price - $34.95 for 15ml
Ingredients - Love, herb oil (grapeseed oil, white willow bark, rosemary, barberry bark, neem, green tea, basil, bitter orange peel, echinacea, hibiscus flower, goji berry, milk thistle seed, licorice root), fractionated coconut oil, hazelnut oil, passion fruit oil, carrot seed oil, pettigrain oil, rice bran oil, vitamin E tocopherols, buriti fruit oil, red raspberry seed oil, cranberry seed oil, rosehip extract, rosehip seed extract, carrot extract, clementine oil, litsea cubeba oil, frangipani oil, rosemary oleoresin. Organic or Wildcrafted.

3) Purifying Mud Mask - This gorgeous mask is made up of nothing but a blend of mineral rich clays and nutritive blue green algae. It helps to cleanse, remineralize and remove impurities from your skin and pores without disrupting the natural balance of the skin. What I love the most about this mask is how incredibly soft and clean my skin feels after I use it! And any blemishes I had did seem noticeably less "angry" afterwards as well. Word of caution though - this mask will stain any light colored wash cloths so keep that in mind if you use this!

My final thoughts - As I stated, I am a fan of Annmarie Gianni and these products are proof as to why that is. Every single ingredient has the dual purpose of nurturing the skin as well as providing aromatherapy benefits. Another perk?
