Say Hello to Some New Arrivals at Rooted Beauty!

I've featured Rooted Beauty a few times on my blog in the past (here and here) and since they have just recently come out with a few new products, I thought I'd share those with you today! As with all Rooted Beauty products, a portion from each sale  of these products will go to help a different woman via their Woman2Woman Project escape from extreme poverty and trafficking and provide them with job training and counseling. This initiative is just one more reason why I love this brand so much!

1) Kiwi Melon Calming Facial Scrub - Formulated with skin renewing and soothing ingredients like Goji Berry, Kiwi and Melon, this scrub will not only gently cleanse and exfoliate your skin without stripping precious oils, but it is remarkably hydrating as well. The light, refreshing fruity scent isn't over powering either. The scrub itself looks a lot like a milky cleanser and rinses off clean. 2) Kiwi Melon Calming Facial Wipes - These handy wipes are great for when you are on the go, after working out, playing a sport or in a hurry and need to quickly freshen up. They also gently and thoroughly remove even the most stubborn make-up. I love these - especially right now - as I am trying to go make-up free as much as possible, and my skin gets soooo oily, but I don't want to wash it several times a day. So these are great to "de-grease" my skin without stripping it! Proceeds go to help Nina run her own shop so that she can provide for herself and her son.

3) Raspberry Citrus Invigorating Facial Exfoliator -  Like the Kiwi Melon Scrub, this one is gentle and non-irritating, but offers a slightly deeper exfoliation. It contains anti-oxidant rich Green Coffee as well as rejuvenating Raspberry Leaf Extract and Citrus. The fruity-citrus-y scent is much stronger with this one, so if you're scent sensitive, this may be a bit much for you. Also like the Kiwi Melon Scrub, this one leaves your skin feeling clean and hydrated. Proceeds go to help Sara with job training and counseling to overcome a life of oppression.

Product Obsession - Rooted Beauty

I love it when a company not only hits all the right notes with regards to ingredients and sustainability, but also promotes social awareness on important issues.

The purpose and mission alone of Rooted Beauty was enough to make me want to try their products, so I was extremely happy when Mei from Living Naturally Co. offered to send me some of their items to try out.

Lip Butters:

There are 3 lip butters and I honestly don't know which I love the most! All of them are infused with nutrient rich fruit extracts, are highly moisturizing and leave a glossy sheen on your lips. And the fact that they taste delicious doesn't hurt either! :-)

Raspberry Citrus Facial Wipes - I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of facial wipes, preferring a plant based oil cleanser or a gentle castile cleanser, but I actually liked these. I mostly used them during the day when I needed to re-do my make-up and didn't have time to go through my whole cleansing routine. These pre-moistened wipes effectively removed all traces of make-up and left my skin feeling clean and hydrated. I do wish that natural companies would stop using phenoxyethanol in their products, but other than that, I loved this. A portion of the proceeds from this product goes to fund Project Liana.

My overall thoughts:  Rooted Beauty is an amazing company with an extremely noble mission. In addition, they are also extremely eco-conscious, using 100% recyclable packaging, and natural ingredients that are not only good for us, but aren't harmful to animals or the environment.
